Blakely then embarked on a year-long journey of research, patenting, and networking, all done secretively. Though local producers turned down her prototype proposals, Blakely's resilience didn't waver, thanks to her experience with rejections. Then, one factory owner decided to give Blakely a chance, considering that his own three daughters might appreciate this product. This was the break Blakely had been working towards!
